I have this fan in the bedroom ceiling (live in the humid south) and it works well and is nice to look at. I originally had this fan in another house with very high ceilings so need to get an extension rod, easy to find at Home Depot. I loved it so much in that house that when I sold that house and moved again, I bought another one for the new house. Sleek design, easy to clean and dust off. Works great, almost silent.
