    I wouldn't call this southwestern either. It's definitely tribal but it could easily be incorporated in a non-southwestern motif. I am using it in a MCM rebuild of my master bath and i think we nailed it. I absolutely love the rug...and if it was in wool, I couldn't afford it!

    Seems quality, and despite no pad, it doesn't slide around. I'm very satisfied.

    Our lanai is screened in but pretty much outdoors, so we were looking for more of a woven mat than a rug with pile. The pictures are somewhat misleading--they appear to show a pile, but the rug is a flat weave of no more than 1/4", just like the listing says. The colors are brilliant--we bought it in the red and the green, and both are beautiful. It got soaked when we powerwashed the lanai, and dried in about 24 hours. This is truly an outdoor-appropriate rug, and well worth the money although I cannot comment on color fastness in direct sunlight, which some reviewers have complained about fading. But the colors did not run when it got wet.

    I put this in my bedroom so I cannot say how it would hold up outside. I love the colors exactly what I thought it would be. It did come folded and had instructions what to do to get the folds out before butting it down. Unfortunately I needed help putting it down and did not have the time to roll it up as instructed so my daughter used a towel to protect the rug and ironed the creases out. It has since continued to stretch out but is laying flat with no problems. It really brightens up the room since it is so colorful. I am really pleased with the purchase.

    I was really excited about the rug buuuut it wasn’t my favorite. The quality of the rug is great, especially in and outdoor setting. I’m using it indoors and you can’t really tell it’s an outdoor rug. The only thing I didn’t love was the color. I thought the colors were a bit more muted. But instead it gives a 90s African/tribal vibe with more reds and purples which I don’t feel like I noticed on the pics online. So it didn’t really fall in with decor. So that’s a half point for color but then that’s buying rugs online. The other thing was when I went to return it, you’re required to pay shipping which would have left me losing $200. No thanks. I kept the rug and made it work. So that’s my other half point off because perhaps I should have paid attention to the return policy. My loss.
