Choose the Right Rug Size for Your Room
Dining Room
In a dining room, the rug needs to be big enough to fit the table and chairs. Your rug should extend at least 24” past all edges of the table to avoid chairs getting caught on the edge of the rug.
Living Room
For larger living rooms, it’s best to be able to comfortably fit all your furniture on the rug. For smaller living rooms that require the furniture to be against a wall, it’s best to choose a rug large enough for at least the front legs of all of the furniture to rest on it.
Patio or Deck
A patio is like an outdoor living room so the same guidelines apply. For larger patios, you want to comfortably fit all of your furniture on the rug and for smaller ones, it’s best to choose a rug large enough for the front legs of all of the furniture to go on it.
Bedroom
For a bedroom, the rug should be placed under two-thirds of your bed and try to allow at least 2’ to 3’of the rug to show on each side of the bed. Nice Outdoor Rug!
I put this on the patio just to have a little cushion for bare feet when playing darts. Visually it looks like natural fibers but it is a synthetic material. Easily hoses off if it gets dirty. Will see how long it lasts with the sun partially hitting it during the day. So far so good. There is a slight odor to it when you unwrap the plastic its wrapped in but not a big deal since its outside. The little rugs I had down before this were pretty dingy so I'm glad to replace it with something that looks so much better. I got the green 3'3" x 4'11" one and it is rather pricey at $59.00. Seems high but you are getting a quality rug. I haven't had any problem with it moving around but if you are putting it on a smooth surface, you might want some carpet tape or something just to be safe.

This is just what I needed to perk up the area on my lower front porch. The design is nicely woven and it immediately laid flat with no bumps or curling edges. I like the combination of the light beige with the bit of blue in the design and plan to update my outdoor furniture in these colors. Even though this rug is “weather resistant” I only plan for one season for my rugs on this porch because they are directly exposed to all the elements in this area. This rug is reasonably priced and looks like it is well enough constructed that it will not only last throughout the summer, but also into the fall months.

This rig really surprised me as far as quality goes. The material is super durable and it dries out super quickly when it gets wet without any left over stains or smells. It looks exactly as it did online in terms of color. It laid completely flat right out on f the package too. I like that the rug stays put in place and it doesn’t slide around like others. This rug is super easy to spot clean too, I love the texture, it feels nice beneath my feet. I definitely recommend this rug for both indoor and outdoor use!
