I have a 30 foot vaulted ceilings in my tiny condo. I wanted a light that would reflect throughout the room - providing up and down lighting without being visually obtrusive. Saw this chandelier advertised "on sale" at Z Gallerie. I was just about to purchase, but decided to shop around first. Found it online and saved almost $400 in tax and shipping charges! Expensive, yes....but, most NICE lighting fixtures are expensive. The chain, included with the fixture, was not nearly long enough for my tall ceilings, but lucky for me, my husband is an electrician was able to rewire. I love the way the light passes through the shells and refracts through the crystals. We installed a dimmer switch and are planning on using different color bulbs for different holiday dinner events. Everyone who comes into my home says, "wow, your chandelier is gorgeous". I love that my light is also a piece of art.
