    The switch effectively controls the Fanimation fan. For the install, I wanted a wall switch vs. the enclosed remote. I’m no electrician and bought OEM at a high price premium as I couldn’t confidently buy a less pricey alternative. Wall install was for sure more challenging than I expected because the switch housing was a good 1/2 inch deeper than standard. I never want to push, force, cram an electrical device, but that’s what it took. So far it works correctly. The switch control is not intuitive. Off, press the top of the button. On is by pressing a speed up/down switch. I applied adhesive labels from p-touch, ‘off’, ‘on-faster’, ‘on-slower’. All’s well that ends well….
