    This wireless switch is worthless. After installation, I found the wall mounted speed control didn’t turn the fan on full speed consistently. I have two Fanimation ceiling fans on my lanai and use one controller to operate both. Since both fans synced the same, I knew it wasn’t a faulty fan. I reverted back to the hand held remote to operate both fans.

    I wanted a permanent switch for our outdoor DC fan after the remote would wander away from time porch area. This was easy as any switch to install and fit the standard rocker/GFCI wall plate cover so it blends in with all the other switches. Much like the remote though the responsiveness of the switch is spotty at best. Some times the light/fan will turn on with a single press of the appropriate button and then I will have to either press the button multiple times to get the functions to work moments later. This is only option with a DC fan motor if you want to adjust the light/fan so what are you honestly going to do? If I had known the difference between DC/AC fans I wouldn't have purchased a DC fan to avoid buying this special switch.

    Beware - this switch is for Fanimation fans that *do not have dip-switches*. We thought we had electrical problems based on some weird behavior when working with the fan's remote. Called electrician, costing $$$$. THE RETURN WINDOW CLOSED by the time we got an electrician and talked to the right person at the manufacturer to find out this product does not work with our fan. Getting an electrician for such a small job took a long time.

    I saw that I needed the TW206D to go with my fan, and when I searched this was the only listing I found - for TW206 DC. Seeing the D right after the 206 I thought it was the right one but apparently the DC is just a descriptor and not part of the actual name. This is very confusing, and I hope this saves someone else from the mistake. I'd seen another review that said "this isn't the one for dip switches" but I didn't know that that was what the D in the model name stood for, for all I knew it stood for DC! Anyway, guess I paid for my lack of knowledge here
