I would take off half of a star if I could, because the finish on the fan blades is VERY shiny. It is not at all the same as what's shown in the pictures in the listing. It's not the end of the world, but I would prefer the matte finish that's shown. Maybe it will tone-down over time.
Regarding the fan itself, there's a lot to like. It's one of the quietest fans I've ever owned, and I've spent upwards of $1,000 on other fans. It's whisper quiet at all speeds. I was also pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to balance the fan. Considering the way the blades are assembled, I thought for sure it would be wobbly, but it doesn't wobble at all, at any speed. Just about every other fan I've ever purchased needed to be balanced. In terms of air movement, I think it's fine. At low speed, you can't feel much, which I would sort of expect, but as you go to medium or high, I can feel plenty of air. I've got it installed on a 9 ft ceiling, and the blades are 7.5 ft off the ground, using the down rod that came with it (6", I think) It might not be the best in terms of air movement if you have REALLY high ceilings, but it works well on a 9ft ceiling. Overall, I'm very happy with the fan, except the shiny finish on the blades.
