    Very easy to install, great smartphone app, everything works perfectly. Only recommendation for upgrade is a wall plate for a dual switch since this item controls both the light and fan (which means both will have a wall switch). Not a very "clean" install without visiting the hardware store for wall plates

    It constantly needs to be power cycled by flipping the hard wire switch on the wall (good thing I wired it that way) because it just stops broadcasting it's signal. It's great when it works, but then it goes catatonic after a while. Happens to all 5 that I installed in my house

    I've purchased 5 and 1 of them is now completely dead. These things are starting to be suspect in my opinion. I've reached out to Customer Support and they've been very responsive so we'll see how they handle this.

    Update: So they sent a replacement for the dead one. But the others still have this issue where the app just doesn't see them. If I power cycle the circuit, they come back, but only for a little while. Not sure what the problem is, but all in all it's not worth 100 bucks for the frustration.

    UPDATE: 6/2017
    Reducing to one star. The one in the master bedroom has now started randomly turning the light on and/or putting the fan at either high speed or off in the middle of the night at like three in the morning. It has done this randomly in the middle of the night several times now. Going to have to just pull it out and put a standard remote in.

    I could not find a ceiling fan that had the look and capabilities I wanted. Bought the fan at Lamps plus and thought I'd give this a try to add Bluetooth, light dimming, and a timer. This receiver added all three capabilities. I may have voided any warranty on the fan but I didn't care. The LED panel is dimming without any flickering and the iPhone app adds the timer option. Very happy with it.

    We'd love this thing if it worked on the phone as well as the remote. The remote has always worked and we purchased as second one to mount on the wall by the door, so all is okay. Problem is all you get for the extra money is the nice small remote instead of the large ones at the box stores. If this worked on my phone all the time like it should. I could shut off the lights she always leaves on and it would be a home run. Problem is the it fails to show up on my phone more than it does show up. If the app worked 98% of the time I would have one on every light and fan in the house and would give it 5 stars. If it came with two remotes for the same money or not much more, I would give it 4 stars.

    The 2 lower speeds on the fan are not the best settings since low hardly moves air and medium is really more like a low. Just giving you 2 useful speeds. The light control is great it starts high and when dimming it goes down to a low setting before coming back up. The Hunter Fan control would go down to off and start over. It will also hold the dim level, so if you set it and use either the button or a hard switch it will come back on at that same level.
