Capital Lighting's Blakely is a lovely, eye-catching lantern, I find myself wandering into the foyer just to look at it. It's not shimmery like the picture appears, but in the listing description it states antique silver which is correct, exactly what I expected with that description and what I wanted. It's silver with what I can only think of describing as black splotches that give the appearance of a long-loved antique silver family heirloom. I love that it's open, no glass to give a dusty appearance or cause unwanted reflection. Cleaning will be a breeze. The open look is a part of the appeal - the openness just really works with the standout design. I love lanterns and have looked at hundreds, many of which looked very much the same. This is an original, fun, classy lantern with which I can't imagine anyone being disappointed. We're replacing all light fixtures in our home and this is one I knew as soon as I pulled out of the box that I loved it. Guaranteed to bring approving comments even from the most particular friends and family members.
