Was building a house and bought 2 of these to go over the peninsula in the kitchen. The ceiling was sloped in a way that I needed to be able to vary the length of cord for each light and these fit the bill. I originally bought them simply for that reason since I wasn't a fan of the style. But in all honesty they look great and when you have a good looking edison bulb in them you are more fixated on that than the style of the fixture. Seem to be high quality, just need to clean the glass to keep it looking great
