The glass plate at the bottom is too small for the fixture, and as a result, lets too much bright light escape from around the glass at the bottom. My husband is great at installing fixtures and was able to rig it so it wasn't as obvious, but poor workmanship, tolerances. Will keep, but annoying. Glad I bought it on sale.
