    The fixture itself is gorgeous, but the mount design is extremely disappointing. The mounting bracket and backplate of the light are both cup-shaped and fit together like two halves of an Altoid tin.

    First, you mount the cup-shaped bracket to your wall box. Then, you fit the fixture’s cup-shaped backplate over the bracket (like a lid) and secure it with screws that go through the sidewalls of the “cups” at 12:00 and 6:00.

    With only two screws at 12:00 and 6:00, the screws act as a pivot, and the light pivots and seesaws back and forth. This seesaw motion would be minimal on a perfectly flush wall, but if you are mounting over a remodel junction box with flanges that sit proud off the wall (which is common), it’s pretty bad.

    I called Capital to ask if I’m missing something and they confirmed my installation was done properly, and unfortunately there is no designed fix.

    Once you MacGuyver a fix, the lights are gorgeous. But the level of improvisation necessary to install makes it very difficult to recommend this product.
