I purchased this gorgeous trunk for a 1920s Art Deco Speakeasy basement I've designed, as every roaring 20s speakeasy should have a trunk handy to hide the liquor and for a quick getaway. 😉 But this space is elevated, not at all rustic, and I didn't want a vintage one which looked aged. Everything in the space looks like you're in the 1920s with fresh furniture, so this piece was perfect and I think it looks fantastic in front of the fireplace. It's actually used to store blankets.

    The blue around the edges is different than pictured. Its a brighter blue. I expected something more grayish blue. But its beautiful and I love it. Works for me.
    Update: I have gotten so many compliments on this chest. It always makes me feel good that someone admires a nice piece of furniture in my house. So I'm not jut ho-hummm. Same old same old.
