This transition from a recessed can light to mini-pendant went pretty smoothly as a DIY project until the very LAST little screw part to hold the globe inside the fixture. First two were perfect. Third one VERY challenging. Even tried the spare one that was sent in little package w/ the wire nuts. But w/ the help of pliers and my jar lid opener, my husband was able to secure the globe.
ETA: I had originally ordered the larger fixture in same style, w/o paying attention to ALL the measurements. When we held that one up to take a look, it was obviously WAY too big for the space available. We returned it, ordered this smaller one, and currently awaiting partial refund on the bigger on. This fixture w/ a 60 watt bulb offers plenty of light for washing dishes, etc. Also editing to add that if not for the "issue" w/ the attachment of globe to the fixture, I would have given this product FIVE stars!
