I have not hung this fixture yet, but I wanted to pass on a few first impressions. First, it is beautiful, and I know it will be an enhancement to my dining room. One surprise is that the glass globes contain a swirl pattern inside the glass. I had expected frosted glass shades, but I had anticipated a smooth appearance in the finish. I believe the swirl pattern adds interest and texture, but others may not like it. Second, the socket rings are already attached to the ceramic sockets. We unpacked everything to ensure all parts were enclosed before the electrician showed up, and the electrician would have known the socket ring was attached, but we did not, and we spent far too much time looking for them. Just a good thing to know if you are installing it yourself. Also, last year I purchased the "Kings Brand Gold Finish Buffet Server Cabinet / Console Table, Mirrored Doors" for my dining room. The gold finish on the cabinet is a perfect match with the antique brass finish on the chandelier. A pleasant surprise!
