I will say that the top of this unit had one piece that we just took the 3 screws out and removed so that I could have a little more uplight (vs more down) on our wall. It looks great and coordinated with a drum light that we have in the center of our living room that we got from big box store. Requires professional installation wired into wall fyi. My husband knew how to do this. Ran line and put box in for this to mount in as seen in 2nd pic. Takes standard size bulb (not included).

      This is a very well made, and very beautiful wall light. The glass is quality. Mine came with the front half round glass, and a top glass. They are an opaque Amber color, but let plenty of light through. The bottom is open. Check the measurements, it is larger than what I consider a standard for an indoor wall sconce, but with that said, I like its size. It is a significant piece that becomes a focal point on your wall. I am very happy in having chosen this light.

      Vaxcel has different versions of this light, including one with a bear, one with a deer, and one with just trees, which are the three styles I purchased, for mix-and-match fun.

      All three versions look great. I would've liked to see the construction a bit better on fit-and-finish. The metal work on these could be contoured better to fit the half-cylinder shape of the fixture, and would look better if it were. But it's pretty close, and I think most people won't notice the irregularity (and some of the parts are made of thin enough metal that if it really bothers you, you can easily bend it into the correct shape).

      I really like the fact that these are in a series, and can mix them up. Putting more than one of these in a space, it's like having a little forest, with different animals in different places. And I have three adjoining spaces, each of which has two wall scones, so I get two of each style, all near each other. Great fun!
