    This is really a pretty rug and very soft feeling. It's not very thick on its own, but if you use a nice pad it will definitely make you happy. I bought the smallest size just to check for color and quality as my new navy leather furniture was being delivered. I have gray-green walls and hickory floors. Boy....all the colors just pop and weave in and out of this rug. The other thing I like is that it has black in it, but it doesn't overwhelm you because it has lighter colors blending with the walls, and a little brown blending with the floors too. This rug will be perfect for my den, with a large patio door where my 2 big dogs come in and out. Black lab hair will not be showing, nor doggie footprints, and it will still be pulling the whole room together. I will be returning the smaller one and ordering the largest size available. Note: the backside is rough so you do need a pad so as not to scratch the floor. I wanted to give it only 4 stars because of that since I am accustomed to nice wool rugs, but the plus side is that the rug is polypropylene and nylon, so it is easier to care for...plus, the colors are so much more vibrant and diverse than wool. Everything in life is a trade off, so I give it 5 stars. Rug looks just like the picture. No surprises.
