    Hinkley is a well recognized brand that I’ve been pleased with in the past. I expect the resin to be of high quality and will report back if there is less than desired performance. I would not be able to tell this wasn’t metal unless I knew. I like the long lines of this series. The directions seem good and are written in many languages. The seeded glass on the interior portion could be of better quality. It’s a little thin and sharp. The bubbles don’t look hand done. There is no indication this was made by Hinkley on the light, which would have been a nice addition on this line. Per the price point, it seems a little high but I do expect it to perform well over time.

      Clearly design and engineering do not have any knowledge of field installation. Getting the screws that hold the lamp to the backing plate, while standing on a ladder and working around trim, takes nothing short of a miracle, especially since the screws are not magnetic. There should be at least 2 spare screws for each lamp included. The quality vs the price is just not there either. $279 for a plastic lamp, I think not.
