These are very solid outdoor lights. I was sick and tired of the fickle MR16 fixtures so I replaced all of them with these.
These lights are very sturdy and heavy with several layers of protection from wet weather. There is a durable seal around the glass rim. The bulb holder has a sleeve that grips the bulb and protects the electrical components from water. The cover fights snugly onto the base and is protected by two plastic sleeves to make it watertight. And there is a seal at the bottom where the wires come out. I am very impressed by the construction, especially compared to other lights that I looked at.
I has an electrician install it but you can do it yourself. It is pretty straightforward.
