I wanted something pineapple-related in our home because I like the symbolism behind it. Plus, it reminds me of Oahu, where I've spent a lot of vacation time. This piece looks perfect in the entrance hall of our low-ceiling, older, Tudor home. The antiquing in the finish is well done, not cheap-looking as many pieces seem to be these days.
