I love this light, although I love it even more than I might if I paid full price. I bought it from Amazon Warehouse in perfect condition. It was quite a project to install, but that's because I had to buy a mounting block for my 4" siding and then modify that and the hardware to match my old-house electrical outlet configuration (substituting longer screws and a different crossbar). The parts and instructions included with this light would be sufficient for most houses, especially newer construction. It is a well-built fixture. The seedy glass is a really nice touch. The design would work with a variety of house styles. My house is tiny, and the version 1800BK is just right for my front porch (9.5"L). If you have a regular-size or large house, you might want to choose one of the larger sizes in this style. There are several other sizes, up to 15.25"L. It is not dark sky compliant as designed, but you can add a special fitting that will make it so.
