      Background: In 2010 I ordered 14 Victorian Bronze yard lights from Hinkley that were, 8 Reef Path Lights, 4 Outdoor Wall Sconces, and 2 of these Spot Lights. All 8 Path Lights and 4 Wal Sconces have held up absolutely perfectly, only occasionally replacing a bulb in the front Wall Sconces due to their all-night long burning. Never replaced a bulb in any of the Path Lights, and all 12 hold up very well in function and appearance.

      Issues: The Spot Lights are an entirely different story. These have initially functioned well for a few years in which several (expensive) bulbs needed to be replaced. After 3 years the 2 Spot Lights have given up entirely and have become beyond repair. These 2 Spot Lights are of rather poor material quality and poor function; 1) lights fail and replacing the low-voltage lightbulbs is an expensive exercise, even to determine that it was not the bulb that caused the outage, 2) both pins from bulbs repeatedly break off inside the lamps receptacle holes due to corrosion from water ingress, 3) the tiny screw at bottom (visible in the picture) also gets stuck and breaks off due to corrosion (forget replacing the screw as the screw's receptacle hole has now become blocked), 4) the top part, which is depicted in the image as the cylindrical beamer with screw at the bottom, fits not tight enough at its base and/or top to avoid water ingress (after all, these lights are intended for use in yards with sprinklers!).

      Conclusion: All in all, 2 stars for the few years that these lights worked and lit up some small trees. The price is far too high to simply replace and start another 3 years. Also not only 1 star for the experience with 12 other lamps from Hinkley that have held up very fine in function, quality and appearance over the nearly 5 years. I really hope Hinkley replaces these dysfunctional Spot Lights with a better products soon. My recommendation is to pass on these particular Spot Lights only and look for something much more weather resistant, either from Hinkley or maybe another manufacturer. Again, their other products are and remain absolutely great.
