I found this lamp unusable - the tiny screws holding the shade in place would not bite into the support. I spoke with customer support and they sent me a new lamp which had the same problem. I took the lamp to my local hardware store to get some help and advice. We determined that the threads on the lamp were the problem. We were able to combine hardware and make one serviceable lamp from the two. When I went to install it, I could not get the lamp flush to the wall as the wires were trapped by the mounting bracket. I also found that one of the wires had the insulation nicked so bare wire was showing. I gave up and asked for a refund. Hinkley referred me to Amazon who declined the refund as the ordered item had been delivered. Overall an incredibly frustrating experience and I'm out the cost of the lamp. I installed a lamp made by a different company.
