    I love this light, although I love it even more than I might if I paid full price. I bought it from Amazon Warehouse in perfect condition. It was quite a project to install, but that's because I had to buy a mounting block for my 4" siding and then modify that and the hardware to match my old-house electrical outlet configuration (substituting longer screws and a different crossbar). The parts and instructions included with this light would be sufficient for most houses, especially newer construction. It is a well-built fixture. The seedy glass is a really nice touch. The design would work with a variety of house styles. My house is tiny, and the version 1800BK is just right for my front porch (9.5"L). If you have a regular-size or large house, you might want to choose one of the larger sizes in this style. There are several other sizes, up to 15.25"L. It is not dark sky compliant as designed, but you can add a special fitting that will make it so.

They look good on our New England Bungalow house. We tried two different bulbs - first we tried a CFL but decided to change to a LED because you can see the bulb through the glass. We love them.

    supposed to be an exact replacement for older lanterns of same part number. Hinckley modified the design, mounting holes are an inch higher than on older version, so the fixture didnt fit on the mounting square on the house. I had to disassemble it and the use the old mounting plate from the original fixture.

    The lights them selves are great in function and appearance. The quality of the oil rubbed bronze finish is awful. Mine are a few years old now but the finish has completely come off and they are now a tan color. They are installed on the front of my home which is north facing so it’s not like they are getting sun all day long. Very disappointing as they are expensive quality lights. Would recommend another color than the oil rubbed bronze.
