  6. How did we get our start?

    BOB Gear began in 1994 when Roger Malinowski, a bicycle industry maven, met Philip Novotny, an airline mechanic. Together, they brought an innovative bike trailer to the masses.

    When Roger and Philip began to start families, they were inspired to design and build a jogging stroller that held the same high standards as their trailers.

    Since that time, we’ve expanded our product lineup with wagons and accessories as we’ve evolved into a close-knit community of adventure lovers.

    This is one of those products that are insanely overpriced because the manufacturer knows they're the only ones who make it, therefore they can charge whatever they want and know if you want it bad enough, you'll have to buy it from them. Do they work? Yes. Are they worth the price? Absolutely not! They are just a black canopy with no special features other than they attach to the wagon and provide shade. I think they're worth around 1/3 of the price at best - but what can you do?
