Must buy, if it is a need. It’s extremely important to my family to stay hydrated. We are in an area that is hot. I was hesitate to purchase this product because it’s super expensive. But our car seat was $500 plus so it was to be expected. Our car seat is about six years old and the cup holder fits perfectly.

    We have had a Britax Marathon Car Seat for about two years and had the old version of this cup holder, which would only attach to the right side of the seat. In our car is the side closest to the door is the right side, so I leaned on it while strapping in my daughter one day and my body weight snapped it off. So we ordered this newer version and I was so happy to learn that it could be attached to either side of the seat! We had to take the gray silicone top off, as my daughter's cups are too hard for her to remove herself with it on, but otherwise it has worked out great! I had a hard time at first with twisting the cup holder itself into the bracket, but I figured it out with practice. This is a great addition to our seat!!

    This is a great cup holder. Some minor annoying things about the bottles rattling around (see video), but it’s going to do it’s job exactly as expected: hold a cup that makes it easy for child to grab. One thing to note is if you have a center drop down console, it will be blocked by the cup holder. This was easily solved for me by just putting it on the other side by the car door. The rubber thing doesn’t work for our bottles, but was easily removed. I’m happy and my kid is happy and hopefully there will be just a little less crying while I drive.

    Update: we only used this for a few days with our click tight boulevard. It is not very strong when attached to the seat, and the cup part would sink when a heavy drink was placed in it. It broke off very easily.

    Spend $300-$400 on a nice car seat and then this is the best they can come up with to attach a cup holder to it. The only reason we got this, is because I literally could find nothing else that would work, and I imagine you will find yourself in the same scenario as me. That grey plastic wedge thing used to keep a cup secure, it's useless, throw it away. It makes it impossible for a kid to get their water bottle in or out. It does not secure very well to the car seat, and it can come off pretty easy, I often have to adjust it or put it on.

    We have 2 of these, one for each car seat in mine and my wife's car. We recently had a second kid, and we will be in the market for 2 new car seats soon enough. This cup holder is so crap that we will not be getting the same kind of car seat that our first born uses, all because of this cup holder. Now we LOVE the car seat, this isn't a review about that. However, we know there are a lot of good car seats out there, and good ones with a cup holder, so that's what we will be looking for when we purchase our next set. Such a small but necessary detail when dealing with toddlers.

    I read the other reviews for this product and I was very skeptical about buying this to replace my original Britax cup holder. I am going to say that this works perfectly and I have had no issues with installation or with my son's sippy cups not fitting into the holder. If you do not like the grey piece, just remove it and you have the same set up and functionality as the original cup holder. I own a Britax Pavillion, so that is the seat I am using with this holder. Ignore the bad reviews and just try it for yourself.

    I took a chance on this after reading all the other reviews and I’m glad I did! Works great with the Britax Marathon click tight! I shoved it in the side crack and it was good to go! We took off the gray curvy thingy because it doesn’t stay on but if you absolutely need it then I would glue it or something. The cup holder can rotate around but not super easily. I mean... I guess if you have an obscenely top-heavy cup then it may tip over... but why would you have one of those for a child?

    I had no issues assembling and installing the cup holder. It all went smooth (unlike other reviewers). But the cup holder just isn’t durable enough for toddlers, and the rubber gripper thing is terrible. Cups get stuck inside it and they can’t pull them out without the rubber ring coming off the cup hold. Plus my 3 year old has pushed down so hard on it (he has to to get his cup in with the rubber thing on it) that he’s now broken the cup holder off the clip. er. It’s just not a good design.

    Unfortunately this is the only cupholder available for our Britax seat and its incredibly overpriced and we've broken 2 now. We have a click tight seat so have to use the alternate clip included and if you so much as lean against it (which is difficult not too as it sticks out so far and eight where you need to reach in for your child) it snaps off.
