The Britax Poplar™ S convertible car seat takes the stress out of moving to the next car seat stage thanks to the patented ClickTight® installation and slim SpaceSaver™ design. This convertible car seat accommodates up to 50 lbs when installed rear-facing, allowing your child to ride rear-facing longer. It easily switches to a forward-facing car seat as your child grows, accommodating up to 65 lbs. ClickTight technology provides fully open seat belt paths that are clearly labeled and easy to access, and the automatic tensioner takes care of the tightening. The baby car seat lets you easily adjust the 14-position no-rethread harness and headrest to help create the perfect fit, and the removable infant insert provides extra comfort on the go. The car seat features 17-inch SpaceSaver technology designed to fit 3-across* without compromising on Britax safety and premium comfort. This is my 3rd Britax car seat over the past 10 years, and hands down Britax makes the BEST car seats for multiple reasons! Chose the Popular S due to space in my Jeep Wrangler and it is perfect! Highly recommend to anyone with a Jeep! Didn’t even have to move my driver seat.

    Installing car seats is probably the worst part of parenting small children. And if you do it wrong (which you will, unless you have a professional install it), it’s a serious safety risk! Britax click to connect is *almost* easy to install. Takes me under 5 minutes now, compared to at least 15-30 with my Chicco keyfit infant seat latch connectors.

    This is my second Britax because of the installation ease and the Safe Wash fabrics that are free of PFAS and flame retardants. My first Britax is the One4Life, and the straps are annoyingly short and hard to tighten or loosen. The Poplar won’t last as long as the One4Life because it doesn’t have a booster option, but that’s fine. It’s less expensive, and the strap is longer and easy to adjust. It gets great safety ratings with the anti-rebound bar, which is important to me.

    But seriously, the Britax Click2Connect installation is worth almost any drawback. Now that I’m used to it, I can’t go back to wrestling with LATCH or getting the seatbelts tight enough.

    This car seat has been such a great fit for my toddler. She loves the color and the two cup holders. I love how safe it is, when installed it doesn’t shift at all! It can be hard to snap in place when you’re installing it or cleaning it, but once you get used to how to snap it in it’s great. The adjustments are great and I’m very happy with what I am able to take apart to clean it

    I absolutely love this seat and am happy to have chosen this over the Graco extend to fit. My fiance has a 2016 Jeep Renegade and the back seat is tiny (seat and leg room). It was such a long path of finding a seat for his car I would like and could trust, this does it. My daughter is about 14.5lbs and 24.5" and she fits perfectly snug and on the full recline. The install was EXTREMELY easy. Took all of 3 minutes and it fits perfectly while still allowing the average sized person to sit in the front passenger seat. I also think the fabric is great and the stitching was well done. You can install without the rebound bar, but it really doesn't add any significant bulk/space. It also has a 50lb rear-facing limit which I am SO grateful for, definitely a necessity if you have a bigger baby!

    We purchased this car seat after being a Graco car seat family and we will NEVER go back. The Poplar S is the best car seat we’ve purchased. My kids love it, I love it. The colours options are good, the padding is out of this world (wish my seat was that padded - wow!), the straps glide easily, the release button for the straps is tucked out of sight and so if you have a child who likes to try and loosen their straps when you’re driving it would be almost impossible for them to do. We have a van and we had to put these 2 seats in the captains chairs in the middle and the only thing I don’t like is that because of the ClickTight technology we can’t slide the seats at all, and so if you have multiple children in car seats can be a pain to buckle the kids in the backseat

    I’ve read some other reviews and I’d like to make a few points:
    - PLEASE READ THE MANUAL ON HOW TO CORRECTLY INSTALL THIS CAR SEAT
    - the rebound bar MUST be installed with the car seat. Those metal holes you see at the base of the seat cushion are where the rebound bar clicks in.
    - if your car seat is sliding around then YOU DID NOT INSTALL IT CORRECTLY. Please have someone check the car seat installation for you
    - per the manual, the strap pads ARE NOT TO BE REMOVED

    We put our most precious cargo in these seats - please ensure they are correctly installed and if you’re not sure how to reach out to a car seat technician.

And it was just a coincidence that they barely came out with this one and the colors are amazingly beautiful!!
