About Us

Back in 1994, Roger Malinowski, a bicycle industry maven, met Philip Novotny, an airline mechanic, in the California town of San Luis Obispo. Philip had turned a decrepit beach cruiser bike into a versatile, lightweight, single track bike trailer. He called it the YAK and was rolling them out of a machine shop on a small scale. We actually love the adapter! It requires some of assembly (my husband did all the work) but once he was done we couldn't be happier with it, I was a bit nervous thinking it would come off but is very firm and our baby is very secure in the stroller. It also comes with an extra seat belt so the car seat is even more secured to the stroller. The stroller also folds perfect with the adapter. I totally recommend it.

    Works with my 2016 bob stroller and B-safe 35 elite car seat. Easily snaps into place and straps are ready to install with a quick Phillips head #2 screw. Everything you need is in the package except for a screw driver. Car seat clicks in fast and easy. Just let the back rest of the stroller out, click seat into place, tighten and draw in back rest on car seat snug, then fasten strap. Simple. Stroller does not fold up with this bar installed but comes out with the push of a button with no problem. Not as a big deal as other people say. Does the job.

    We got this to go with our B safe 35 carseat and BOB stroller and it works awesome. It attaches to the stroller by just clicking into where an activity tray would go. The carseat clicks into the holders on the top of it, just like it does on the base in the car and it's removed by the push button on the back of the carseat, just as the car base too. For some reason I thought it would be way more complicated than it actually is. And it's nice that you can leave it attached to the stroller and still close the stroller when you're done and putting it away. Super happy that I could get the stroller and car seat I wanted and not the travel system that Britax makes. I'm sure there's nothing wrong with that travel system, it just isn't what we wanted to buy.

    This is easy to install with my Bob stroller (I bought it in 2014). There is a strap that you use with the car seat for a more secure fit. I like it. I don’t jog with it as it is not recommended to jog with an infant car seat but I do enjoy walking. I would recommend this product.

    I use this adapter with the Britax B-safe 35 and my bob Revolution Flex for my infant. It is simple to use, the seat can be dropped in and easily checked to make sure its secure. Removing the car seat is also simple, using the back release button that is used for removing the seat from the in-car base. The car seat can be positioned in the adapter frontward or backward. Would purchase again.

    This adapter works just as described. I have a BOB Ironman and Britax Infant car seat from 2014, and this works perfectly. The infant base is very secure and turns the jogging stroller into a baby stroller. Although technically you aren't supposed to run with an infant, I have jogged with mine in the car seat attachment. The path we go on is very flat and newly paved, so he bounces less than in the car. This was one of the only ways I could exercise with new baby.

    We used our Bob without the attachment for about a month. BOY oh BOY has the car seat attachment made our lives easier! Seriously our kid is getting so heavy in addition to the car seat. I was carrying him around stores, and across parking lots ect. Now I don't even bother getting a cart if it's not a huge grocery trip. Just unfold the bob, pop out the car seat, pop it into the stroller, and off we go! Baby doesn't have to be jostled, I don't have extra steps. This has really made things much better. I even load him up with the car seat in the bob before we leave the house so I don't have to bend down to strap him in. Brings everything up to a comfortable level. It's a stupid metal bar, but I am so thankful for it.

    This is a good adapter- it works and was easy to install. Seems sturdy. The only issue I have is that the stroller does not completely fold with it installed. I have a 2017 revolution flex 3.0 and I have to remove the adapter before folding, which is obviously a pain.

    FYI: I tried to fit the Britax Affinity Bassinet on my BOB stroller using this device. It was *so close* to fitting, which would have been cool. Maybe with a different version of the BOB? The bassinet fits on the adapter, just doesn't quite fit when the adapter is on the stroller (bassinet too long, seat of BOB in the way).
