    We love this lamp - looks great and is very well made. I want to highlight how responsive the company is. Our lamp arrived with k engine shares having a small crack.     The design is great. However, my general impression is quality control is mediocre to poor. There were several issues with the product:
    1. The arms didn't quite form a 90 degree angle, so the bottoms of the glass shades don't hang parallel to the table. I tried rotating and re-attaching the shades, and I was able to find a combination that is close to flat across the bottom of the fixture, but not quite.
    2. The dye in several of the red glass sections is missing, meaning those sections are clear. Again I had to rotate the shades to try and hide these "unfinished" sections of glass from the main view. If this chandelier is to be hung were it can be seen from all sides it may be a problem for the buyer. Perhaps ours was a poor example.
    3. The installation was difficult at best, having to hold the fixture up while trying to wire it. It would be great if Quoizel had a hanging point, much like ceiling fans do, to allow easy wiring while it's supported from the ceiling.

    While we love the design, I will not purchase another Quoizel product given the issues stated.

    This lamp was sturdier than I expected based on some other reviews but I decided to go for it anyway because I loved the colors and style. I am not at all disappointed. With 60 and 75 watt bulbs it is very bright. I tried with dimmable 100 watt bulbs but it made a faint high pitched buzzing sound. Not so with the lower wattage and the brightness is plenty.

    It is a nice looking fixture - and reasonably simple to install (although I would have expected better for the price). What I cannot do is work with the hanging chain. I can open the chain links with a lot of difficulty with 2 pliers (but not without ruining the finish, even when using a "soft cloth" for buffer as suggested) - but I cannot get the links closed again. I am either going to have to buy another tool (not exactly sure what that might be) or pay someone to do the work. I guess I should have expected this. I just want to warn anyone who might consider this item that this is an issue.
