    Bought one of these for the entryway and, after installing it, decided to purchase a second for the hallway. These are beautiful and very well-made. The 2nd install proved to be pretty difficult, but that was because of my specific mounting situation. Take your time and don't get frustrated. Some notes and answers.

    1) Once you have the base mounted to the ceiling and you're sure of the fit, go ahead and test electricity to make sure it's installed correctly. You don't want to have to undo everything if it isn't.
    2) Once the base is mounted and working, you will need to adjust the shaft so that the shade slides up a little further than it will when it's fully installed. This will allow you to hook up all the chains easily. Once it's hanging from the chains, then adjust the nuts on the shaft so that it is tight.

    If you're asking yourself if you use the light enough to warrant spending $200 on a lamp, don't forget that this thing looks great even when it isn't lit. It has really given our entryway a distinctly craftsman-style look. Great lamp!

    I bought 2 of these smaller lights for our new mission style house, they are absolutely gorgeous, very well made, good value for the price (and alot cheaper at Amazon than some lighting stores), and very easy to install. I would recommend them to anyone interested in mission style lighting, for a new house or an older house as well. The colors are mostly green, amber, cream, and an orange-red tone, perfect blend with the mission themed colors in our house.

    This light is beautiful. It is heavy - all metal and glass, no plastic. Turning it diagonally makes it look even larger that it is, so it really gave us two size options visually. It was easy to install. It does need two 100 light bulbs to really light our small foyer. I would buy it again.

    It has a lovely design, and looks very nice, but you can't put enough bulbs or wattage in it to produce light.

    I think this would have been a better match for a hallway where you could put more than one up.

    We got it up and are keeping it, but next time, I'm going to check the details before I buy.
