The lamp arrived on time and well packaged. Installation was straightforward, just like any hard-wired pendant or chandelier. The canopy is esthetic and fits well in my decor, which includes a lot of natural or earth-tone colors. When lit, the shade is quite warming. The tones are more on the brown and green side when not lit, and they look more like the picture by the seller/manufacturer when lit (but warmer). Some of the canopy elements are more translucent than others, which causes them to catch the light and draw the eye in a tasteful manner. The canopy is 18" in the widest part. The small pull chain allows me to turn on 1, 2, or 3 bulbs, or none. I am not sure why, like many other such lamps, this lamp has an exposed grounding wire that runs parallel to the support chain; in this case, the wire is copper.
I was puzzled by a couple of reviews of this product on here. First, according to one reviewer, the canopy was "plastic," because tapping it with his finger didn't make it zing. This is nonsense; the canopy is obviously made of light, hard-to-break glass for artistic work, and the formal specs sheet by the manufacturer also states that. There is no error in the product description on Amazon in that regard. Second, another reviewer complained that you could "see the light bulbs." That reviewer must have either hung the lamp too high, or they simply aren't used to lamps of this style. There is nothing unusual surrounding the light bulb installation. I am 5'7", hung the canopy a little over 30 inches above the dining table, and I do not see light bulbs when standing. When I sit at the table, I am not looking up. The bulbs fit just fine under the canopy.
