    I'm going to list what my concerns were and what I discovered after buying it.

    1) Lamp shade would be too small
    - Actually it was a good large size that fit the stand it was attached to well.

    2) It wouldn't be very stable.
    - the base has some unexpected meat to it. Talking heavy here. Any floor lamp can be knocked down, but it definitely gives the sense that it won't easily.

    3) Cheap construction?
    - this is the not-so easy one. The base is sturdy once assembled, and matches the shade very well. The minor issue comes to the shade. It's plastic (or polyurethane) NOT glass. Does it look good? Yes, absolutely. Does it feel a little cheap when you touch it? Yes, it kind of does.

    Conclusion:
    It looks great, and there are enough pro's for me to keep it, provided there are no manufacturer defects I haven't discovered.

    The question of "value" is a hard thing to measure. I looked at lower priced tiffany style lamps. I do wonder why this one cost +$100.00 when the materials appear to be the same. So...if you like the design (low key triforce, probably unintentional, but appreciated) enough, ask yourself if it's worth the extra money.

    This lamp is better than most in terms of real furniture feel--that's what I like best about it. The base is heavy enough that it won't tip if bumped. The assembly was easy--follow the instructions--it's easier than using intuition. I am using LED lightbulbs and it's fine for reading. As for style of the shade--I like it. My wife says it looks like a bar lamp. To earn a "5 Star", the lamp should have a diffuser below the lightbulbs, IMO.
