This light goes above the sink, and I got the matching pendant light for the peninsula. I am very pleased with these lights!

    Ordered four of these for our kitchen renovation. The picture is pretty accurate and the copper tiles over mica paper is quite lovely as an accent light. Adjustable length down rods are a nice feature so you can hang them as high or low as you like. I agree with other reviews that the construction is good but not fantastic. For the price, they are very nice.

    Great looking pendant lamp BUT without a "ball and socket" ceiling mount, very difficult, if not impossible to mount exactly in line with multiple lamps if the ceiling is not perfectly level at each junction box.
    The canopy only has a 90 degree joint (see picture) for correction in only one direction. Each change requires the lamp to be removed and then remounted. Very difficult, time-consuming, and frustrating.
    We were also concerned that these lamps with a rough and fragile mica cover would be impossible to clean with kitchen aerosols floating around during cooking.
    All of them returned.
