How to Size a Chandelier or Pendant For Your Space

DIning Room Size Guide

Dining Room Table

We recommend leaving approximately 30"- 36" between the bottom of your fixture and the surface of your dining table. The width of your fixture should be at least 6" narrower than the width of your table.

Kitchen Size Guide - Pendant

Kitchen Table

Choose a fixture with a width measuring between 1/2 and 3/4 the diameter of around table. As with other surfaces, we recommend leaving approximately 30"- 36" between the bottom of your fixture and the top of your table.

Kitchen Island Suize Guide - Linear

Kitchen Island (Linear)

The key to sizing a linear light fixture is proportion. We recommend selecting a light measuring no more than 2/3 the length of the table or kitchen island. Consider hanging a pair of fixtures for extra long surfaces.

    This light was delivered with a metal rim to the globe that was loose and would NOT stay on the bottom of the globe. I called three different phone numbers to inquire about this. NO hanging instructions either.,Then finally one person told me to email Quoizel Lighting directly, to request a new bottom rim. We’ll see if that comes and fits tightly before I have to send it back. Next time I’ll order directly from quoizel!!
