This is a relatively inexpensive ceiling light, and well, you get what you pay for. The light socket on ours is not well aligned with the rest of the fixture, so the various parts of the assembly don't hang very straight.
In a fixture with opaque sides, that wouldn't matter- but the clear glass makes the bulb and socket a "featured attraction". In this case, the "star of the show" looks like it could use a bit more rest. Rim around the base of the shade is a cheap stamped piece, and overall build quality is lacking.
