    These lights are very good quality, however, if you are considering them, you should be aware that the color is nothing like the pictures. The pictures depict really aged copper, brownish green in color, but the lights are, for the most part, bright, new copper with a small amount of aging in the crevices and corners. I'm sure after a few years outside, they'll look just like the pictures, but out of the box, no.

    These are solid copper and glass lanterns, such as found in Charleston, SC or New Orleans, LA and other historic districts. Check the size of the lantern to make sure you order the correct size; they are quite large and impressive. Additionally, after have a pair outside my garage door for four years, you should plan on taking them down and cleaning them every couple of years. This keeps the glass clean. Mine have started to ever-so-gently develop a little verdigris; many consider this a desirable trait, but the copper color could be maintained with a nice metal polish every few years.
