This beautiful ceiling fixture was just what my reading/guest room needed. It isn't particularly heavy, but installing it would have been easier if I'd had another person to help hold it while I was making the connections; I was afraid I'd drop it before I got a piece of wire attached to the ceiling socket to take the weight. Getting the glass diffuser in place over the 3 metal tabs was a little tricky, but eventually I found the right angle.
The fixture is well-made and very attractive. With 3 light sockets, there is no problem getting enough light in the room. I installed three 60-watt-equivalent neutral daylight (4000K) LED bulbs. The glass diffuser softens the light just enough, and the mica surround has a nice glow. This 8' x 12' room is filled with useful -- but not harsh -- light that lets me see everything clearly, including the books in the book case. Because I have daylight bulbs and the diffuser & mica surround don't add any heavy yellow/orange tint, guests won't think they put on a shirt of one color only to find it isn't when they get outdoors. Seriously considering the smaller pendant version for use in the hall.
Customer service: My light arrived without the glass diffuser, and the vendor promptly shipped me a replacement at no charge when I let them know.
