First of all the Satco box itself was damaged, and still they sent it - I could tell it had been damaged in the factory because the shipping info was on top of the damaged area and scotch taped over.
The image shown on the Amazon site is very deceiving. In actuality while the Par 30 lamp is held in place by a ring - the rest of the light bulb is exposed except where it enters the socket. But no where do you see that. Once you screw the bulb in place to the gimbal ring, the bulb has a tendency to fall out of the ring whenever you try to adjust the angle. Very dangerous. On top of that, the whole structure of the track light is flimsy. Do not buy this track light. I ordered two and returned them immediately. No wonder the box was damaged - the Satco track lights probably have been returned many times already. This is the worst thing I have ever ordered from Amazon.
