These are perfect for anyone trying to replace the same-shaped predecessor by GE &/or Satco.
No longer made or possible to replace the originals in a 6-bulb light fixture - halogen - I was despairing of anything but a new set of different shaped bulbs, when my last bulb blew. By chance I was in a large hardware store and with a sample of the old, found this same/oddly shaped bulb, now in LED. It's almost a perfect match, so I replaced the one bulb to start, and then bought a few more at the store and now this, via Amazon (same or lower price, with free delivery).
I will say that compared to the GE Halogen 71, this one is *slightly* shorter. When nearly totally dimmed, this will go dark(er), but only when near-dark, then it lights up with the same brightness and hue as the others. The halogens were advertised as "lasts 2 years", but lasted much longer actually, to the point I couldn't replace them. We'll see abut the LED longevity. At least I know replacements are widely available now, so I'm set for many years. Happy camper. So far so good.
