This is a very pretty bulb with the gold top. It is decently bright and claims to be a 100 watt equivalent. It's hard to measure that claim because there's a lot of variables. I would say it's a little dimmer than that claim. 100 watts should be 1600 lumen. A lot of bulbs that claim 100 watt equivalent also say around 1000 lumen. Based on my measurements I would say this is around 750 lumen at best. It also claims to be 90 CRI and that's true. A deeper dive into the color reveals a low red rendering but high in most other places. This brings up the overall CRI rating. Why is this important? White light contains all colors of light. When light hits a green plant, the plant absorbs all of the light except for green. It reflects the green light and that is why we see that plant as green. This light doesn't have a lot of red so things that are red will appear more dull. Thankfully our brains lie to us and don't often notice.
Should you buy this bulb? I think if it's a good price, I would get it again. I think it works best in a living room lamp. I would not use it in a kitchen, bathroom, near artwork, or other places good color is important.
