This wall sconce is simply gorgeous, and looks like twice the cost. The metal parts are very well constructed, with a great soft nickel finish and a good heft. The shade is not really gray but a textured, slightly off-white linen. There is a white glass lens that covers the bottom of the sconce so that you don't see the bulbs from below. We are using this in a small wet bar area that is below a stairwell (see photo), and the sconce reflects light both down on the counter and up along the sloping stairwell. I am using 2 LED bulbs that are 100-watt equivalents, i.e., they produce 1600 lumens each. The result is a very bright counter work light that can be dimmed for use as night lighting. The half-oval shape is modern but easily compliments our transitional space. The style looks like it could be adapted to nearly any decor (depending on the finish selected). Very satisfied with this purchase.
