I experienced two of these alabaster lamps. The first lamp I received was damaged at the base and would not stand flush with the table surface, it leaned to one side, and a piece of alabaster was missing from one corner of the base. I called the seller and he was nice enough to send me a second lamp. The replacement lamp was sturdy but the alabaster column looked awful. It appeared that a large piece of alabaster (5"x 6") had broken off from the alabaster column and then replaced and repaired poorly. The advertisement photo of the product looks great and this is what I expected to receive. The alabaster used for these lamps is of very poor quality. There is no quality review of the final or shipped product.
