I love this clock. Although there were negative reviews, I had a similar clock for years and it broke. I love this style so wanted as close a replacement as I could get. It is a lighter weight than my old one, but looks nice. The BIG issue, which I am sure generated some complaints, is that the hands are easy to displace AND you should NEVER change the time using the hands. There is a wheel on the back to use. It is so tempting to use the hands, but you will have problems with the minute hand losing traction on its screw if you do this. There is a big warning in the box, telling you not to move the hands to set the time.
As I installed the batteries, I bumped the minute hand and it came loose. I was able to reset it back on the screw.
I suspect the reason my old clock broke is that I always adjusted the time using the hands, not the wheel on the back. Eventually the second hand would not stay set.

When I first opened I was disappointed. Just thin board and almost just closed and returned. But decided to hang to get a better view. It looks beautiful on the wall and you can’t see how really thin it is. So I decided to keep and happy with it. But if you’re expecting a solid looking wood piece, this is not it.

Shipping was on time, well packed and easy to assemble, except the batteries fit quite tight and I was afraid I’d break something. Love the pendulum and easy to read clock face.
