* Update: Lamps showed "Prime & Free Returns" at the time of purchase. But....this was not the case when I tried to quickly process the return online. I did not have the usual option for free and very easy returns, and Amazon's website error became my problem to deal with. I made two different calls to Amazon for assistance in getting free returns to the seller, and I explained to Amazon that I would have NEVER purchased two lamps at this dollar value if I knew that "Prime & Free Returns" would not be honored. It took a few days and my valuable time to deal with Amazon and the seller to get 4 prepaid shipping labels to print out for the 4 boxes that needed to be returned.
Lamps have been returned and credited after this very frustrating and unexpected return experience. I will rethink what I buy from Amazon moving forward now that I know that "Prime & Free Returns" for a product can't be trusted.
I purchased two lamps on sale. The pink lamp base, and the size were perfect for my space. But, I was very surprised when they arrived, and the color is actually violet. Violet is not a shade of pink. It might be possible that in bright store lighting the lamp base could appear a bit more pink? I left one base on a nightstand for some time to see if I might grow to like the color. When I finally added the harp and disk pieces in order to attach the shade for a complete look, I found that the harp piece is defective. The top screw that the finial screws onto is welded on at an angle. Therefore, the lamp shade sits at an angle instead of level.
I had already decided that the violet coloring would not work with the pink colors in the room but attaching the lamp shade allowed me to provide a complete review. Unfortunately, I will be returning both lamps. Very disappointed.
