Everything worked.... the light turned on with the remote and lit up the whole room. I then turned the fan on with the remote and tried all three speeds and they all functioned properly. I then went through the balancing procedure (included in the instructions) only to find that it was perfectly balanced and didn't require any counter-weights that would have had to be attached to the fan blades. This seems to be a very well made fan and I highly recommend it. Amazon did well with this pick! Not to forget that the price was the best I saw during my research for the right product.

I wanted a smaller fan with a low profile to circulate air in a bathroom with slightly less than 8 foot ceilings. This fits that bill nicely. It's quiet, moves a fair amount of air and is configured so that the blades are well above the head of my 6'2" 16 year old. Given his state of wakefulness when he's getting ready for school, that's pretty important.
The light is brighter than I expected given other reviewers' comments. But I have plenty of other fixtures in the room. More disappointing to me is that the dimming range is very narrow, i.e., at it's dimmest it's not a lot less bright than at peak lumens. And also disappointing is that I only learned that after a pretty long wait on Hunter customer service because the remote arrived without dimming switched on. With a friendly tech's instructions (nowhere to be found in the manual or website) it was a only few minutes work to activate dimming. Why it wasn't shipped in a condition to perform as the manual says it will is a question not covered in his database.
All in all, though, it's a solidly built, attractive fan that was pretty straightforward for this non-pro to install.

This is an attractive ceiling fan that went up fairly easily. I replaced an existing bedroom fan (old - shiny brass/oak) with this one and it looks great up there. I have an 8 foot ceiling in that room and used the standard down rod which is only a few inches long. It's over a bed so I'm not concerned with head clearance but it's still about 7 feet above the floor.

Installation went as expected. The instructions are clear and the pictures were helpful. I don't know how many ceiling fans I've installed over the years but it's a lot. This was one of the easier ones.

The remote is great. They include a holder that you attach over the light switch that is used to power the fan so the remote hides that switch and cradles the fan. The remote is also a nice size and has buttons marked with the fan speed you want and a light button. The light is dimmable - just hold down the light button on the remote.

The fan is quiet on all but the highest speed. I can hear a whoosh noise but that's to be expected. There was a noticeable wobble that I fixed with the included kit.

One little thing I don't like is that they hid the reverse switch under the light kit so you have to remove the globe to reverse the fan. I generally don't use the fan in the winter so this isn't a big deal but they sure made it more difficult than it needs to be.

Easy installation if you have an existing ceiling fan support already in place. Does not include a Remote-Activated Reverse -- you must slide a switch in the globe housing to reverse it. But does include the easiest Balancing Kit that I've seen -- a small plastic "clothespin" is used to move from blade to blade, to locate the best placement for the self-adhesive weight (mine only required one). Nice-looking light is brighter than others I've had (their Moderna was horribly dim). And it will take up to 100W-equivalent Daylight LEDs -- that's 14W Each. Only 2 are required. I also like that the flat globe is spring-retained -- you push up slightly and rotate it to fully-seat it in the slots. Does NOT include any extension tube for slanted ceilings. This has provided BRIGHT room light at the highest level I've experienced in an overhead ceiling fan - with the highest-power LED bulbs of 100W-equivalent rating. Choose Cool White for less harshness. I chose Daylight because I've been dismayed by the poor visibility must fans provide. But this is being used in a home-office environment, where I need the most light. Great product!

The first took a few hours, but the following 3 took approx 45min each. The instructions were detailed and easy to follow. The fans were all used in “like new” condition. That description was accurate and it was very happy with the condition. These fans are very quiet and circulate air very well. The light is not very bright, not sure how much brighter it would be with different bulbs, I used the bulbs in the kit. I would highly recommend these fans. My mom ended up purchasing 2 of them.

We have two Hunter ceiling fans that were installed by an electrician (part of the job was to install new ceiling light receptacles so we let him do the install as well). When needing a new fan for the family room I ordered this one, confident my husband could do the installation and according to him it was a breeze (no pun intended). We needed an extension on the down rod that he picked up from Home Depot and with the clear directions for the fan installation he was done in less than 45 minutes, mind you, he is a very handy guy! The fan is very quiet and looks discreetly elegant in our small room. The remote works great and sits nicely on the light switch plate. We do not find it ‘cheap looking’ per other reviews, it’s a simple small remote that blends into the switch plate. One thing is that the lights could be a bit brighter, we may change the bulb wattage after we’ve lived with it for a while. Highly recommend.

This fan arrived on time, well packaged, was easy to install, and has a nice clean modern appearance.

There is a good heavy duty socket which attaches to the ceiling box, and after assembling the blades the fan just drops into it. Then you hook up the wiring, and attach the light fixture.

The included LED bulbs are nice and bright, and they are dimable with the remote.

The fan blades are reversible, white or two-toned.

Operation in low and medium speed is almost inaudible, very slight noise on high speed. Balancing to eliminate very sight vibration is a bit of a hit and miss process.

It bows a lot of air on high speed, but I just wish the medium speed was a little bit faster.

The remote control can mount over the existing switch, which makes it easy to find. I would have likes to see a bit more substantial mount for this, but it works.

Altogether very satisfied so far after a couple of weeks of full-time use to circulate the heat from our woodstove.
