Have been buying Hunter fans for years in several houses. I favor Hunter fans because every one I've ever had works great and we've never had to replace one. Had some for at least 10 years. This one was a "renewed" fan offered by Amazon. We liked the look of it and decided to take a chance on it for our screened in porch in our new house. The price was about 1/2 of the normal price of a new one. It looks brand new. It is quiet, looks great and moves the air well. We did buy an 18 inch down rod because it only had a 3" rod included and the ceiling is 15 ' height and we wanted the fan lower. We have only had it for a week but so far so good.
