I've installed a number of fans over the decades and they keep getting easier to do. This one was a breeze to install. The wiring is flexible, too. In my case, I already had the wiring to a light dimmer switch and a fan speed control on the wall, and it all works perfectly, controlling both fan speed & light brightness. But if you only have one switch-or no switch, it can handle that too and you'll just use the pull chains. We didn't use the blubs that come in the box, choosing some 60W equivalent (6W) 3000K Edison bulbs that look great and also are very bright at full blast. Sometimes my wife wants a lot of light on those dark winter days and this amps it up like a bright operating room. And these bulbs look perfect in there as seen in the pic. The blades are reversible and we chose to see the white side and not the wood grain.
We've had it a month now and it's very quiet, moves air nicely and is vastly superior to the 20-year-old builder-grade fan that it replaced. We're very happy with this and we wonder, why didn't we replace it sooner?
