The remote is not working unless it is almost touching the fan. I put a new battery to see if it would help but didn't. I paid to have it installed and would have to pay to have it taken down to send it back and pay again to have another one put up. We love the fan so not sure what to do. I'm a senior and on fixed income. I appreciate your assistance in the matter. Thank you.
