When we built our house 28 years ago we put Hunter fans everywhere--bedrooms, den, kitchen, screened porch. They have all been great. A few months ago we finally got around to glassing in our screened porch to turn it into a climate controlled sun room. We live on a large lot that is partially wooded and there are lots of pine trees--everywhere. The pollen coats EVERYTHING--vehicles, the pool edge, and EVERYTHING on the screened porch. In fact, that porch had lots of problems, prior--the rain blew in regularly--there was damp, mildew, and the hunter fan, though still working perfectly and quietly, was COATED in thick rust. So I needed a replacement. The builder kept telling me to go to Lowes. I asked about Hunter. He said yes, they were good, but there were cheaper fans that were just as good. So I went to Lowes and waited for FORTY minutes for someone to help me. Then, having seen a model I liked on the ceiling, and it was a HUNTER--I was willing to pay a little more for guaranteed quality, I went home, compared the price to Amazon's--it was the same. So I ordered the fan--and a nice Hunter light kit too. VERY pleased with both and they arrived with Prime shipping in two days. Cannot beat Amazon's customer service. You just order it yourself.

If you are installing an extension bar to lower the fan, a crucial part , a collar that holds the hanging assembly is very thin, cheap plastic. I cannot understand for the life of me why companies continue to use plastic at crucial parts of the assembly. Other than that, great fan, quiet and good looking for the price
