This fan was packaged well and seems to be of good quality, but the glass in the frosted amber globe has large speckles, which I don't especially like, but it should be ok on a high ceiling. I wouldn't be able to install this myself because it's very heavy, so will have to pay a handyman. I wanted two of these so the living room and bedroom would match, but only one was available, which may be good since this is more ornate and not as contemporary as I'd like, so there's a chance I may return it. However, the base is very pretty and I need to get my house ready to sell, so maybe it will work in one of the rooms. The question is, living room or bedroom?

    We wanted a ceiling fan that matched the other lighting fixtures in our home. This was the only one we could find. All are very modern or rustic now. Love the fan & how it looks. It doesn't come w/ a remote and we had an electrician install, which they did very quickly.

    The fan installed easy because of the bracket that suspends the fan in place to the ceiling by its post. Once the fan is hanging you can do the rest of the install easy. The only partially difficult thing to do is get screws into the housing to attach the light kit because there is very little clearance between where the bottom of the fan brackets that hold the blades are and the light housing bracket. If the light housing bracket was just a little longer it would make this child's play. Once installed the fan was so well balanced the chain pulls didn't even move no matter what speed the fan was running at. This is definitely a quality product. Buy with confidence.

    This makes a sound every time you use the remote or change settings. It's annoying, maybe because I've never had a that does this. You can never turn it on or change from low to high or any settings without waking your partner up. I guess we missed this feature when we were reading the description.     Received this fan very quickly and installed it. Found the glass globe broken when I went to install it. Contacted Core Centric's Customer Service and explained the issue. Lets just say that they went over board and did everything they could to fix the issue. We are very happy with the out come, our fan and their customer service.
